Dr. Shaik is a staff specialist and the Clinical Lead for Hepatology at Redcliffe Hospital, Brisbane. He underwent his physician training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in New Zealand and obtained his Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2017. He has presented and received awards at national gastroenterology conferences.
Dr Shaik has a special interest in Hepatology. He was previously a clinical research fellow and has been co-investigator in hepatitis C and hepatitis B trials. In 2018, he completed a clinical fellowship in Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, where he was involved in hepatology research programs, Fibroscan clinics, and palliative liver clinic – delivering best practice care to a broad demographic range of patients.
Dr. Shaik is passionate about his career and takes every opportunity to enhance his knowledge – keeping up to date with new developments, and attending both local and international conferences in the field of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
